Filming an interview requires a preliminary survey of the surroundings. It's best to position the subject in a location where the depth of field is shallower. A handy trick is to position the subject slightly farther from the wall while opening the aperture to blur the background. At the same time, it's important that the subject's surroundings remain easily recognizable. This is especially important for some interviews, like our video, where the audience needs to recognize the protagonist's living environment from their living room to increase understanding of the story.
